God Room

I shared this past Tuesday about the "miracle of the rain" in 1985 in Randers, Denmark.  Being reminded of that stirred my faith to trust God for new miracles.

A few days ago, a friend reminded me of a message of Floyd's - "Trusting God for the Impossible."  I decided to listen to it.  It stirred my faith once again - and it touched my heart as Floyd shared some sweet affirmations about me.  It was a precious birthday gift to me.

One of the things Floyd talked about is "God Room."  It's when we do everything possible, and then we step into the area where things are impossible.....God Room.  We have to leave things in His hands - trusting Him to do what we can't.  I feel like there are several things in my life in the area of God Room.  I need to stir my faith to trust God for things I can't do - things that are impossible.

"With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."  Matthew 19:26

"Is anything too hard for the Lord?"  Genesis 18:14

"Almighty Lord, you made heaven and earth by your great strength and powerful arm.  Nothing is too hard for you."  Jeremiah 32:17

"I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted."  Job 42:2

"With man it is impossible, but not with God.  For all things are possible with God."  Mark 10:27

"All things are possible for one who believes."  Mark 19:23

"If God is for us, who can be against us?"  Romans 8:31

"Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen."  Ephesians 3:20

I've seen many miracles in my life, and I long to see more.  I have fresh faith stirred in my heart to believe God for them.  I'm waiting.  God is so awesome!

Floyd's message - and many others - are on the All Nations International website in the Founders Library.  There are audio and video teachings, books, and news.  It's a work in progress with more and more things being continually added to it.

Trust in God

Tomorrow (May 29th) is a special day in a couple ways.  Firstly, it's a tender day for me as it marks 3 years since Floyd went to be with Jesus.  The time has flown by - it doesn't seem that long.  In some ways, it just feels like a few weeks ago.  And, on the other hand, it feels like it was ages ago.  Time is a strange thing.

The second thing is that it's our national elections here in South Africa.  I'm a permanent resident, but not a natural born South African - so I'm not allowed to vote.  But I sure am praying!!  There are a lot of things at stake in the elections.  Some are saying it's the most important election since 1994 when apartheid came to an end.  Please pray that God's sovereign hand will be on these elections.

There are a number of countries facing big elections this year - the US and UK among them.  It feels like so much is happening.  I've been thinking that in times of change, in times of unsettledness, and in any time of trial - trust in God's rule overall is such an important foundation.  Trust has been a key element for everything in my life in the past decade!  If I don't have my trust firmly and securely in the Lord then other things can feel so vulnerable.

Asking questions of why/why not - or what if - can undermine that trust.  Honestly, I have lots of questions about things in my life, in our family, and in our ministry.  But dwelling on those questions won't do any good.  I don't think I'll have answers until I stand before the Lord in heaven - and my questions probably won't even matter then.  But I'll have eternity - so maybe I'll get a chance to chat with God about it all!  But, for now, I just need to keep my trust in the Lord firm and secure.  He is absolutely trustworthy.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding."  Proverbs 3:5

"Those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you."  Psalm 9:10

"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you."  Isaiah 26:3

"Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe."  Proverbs 29:25

"Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God."  Psalm 20:7

"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me.  My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise Him."  Psalm 28:7

When my trust is firm and secure in the Lord - everything else falls into place.....even if I have questions about it all.  Trust keeps my heart at peace, and allows me to receive all I need from the Lord to make it through whatever I'm facing.

I completely trust my wonderful, faithful Father!

Confident Faith

The new year has started with some fresh challenges.  I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I would have preferred to have a less stressful beginning.  I saw a quote - "the presence of trouble does not mean the absence of God."  SO very true!  God is right here with me as He's been these last 9+ years on our unexpected journey.  I would be lost without Him.  My trust in Him has proven His faithfulness.

The "blessing" in Numbers 6 has always been so special to me.  I shared about it a couple months ago when I woke up with it running through my mind one morning.  Several friends have sent it to me during Christmas and New Year's.  I receive it afresh for 2024.

"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace."

I think the Lord wants to bless us more than we can ever imagine.  We just need to turn our hearts fully to Him.

I recently found a short article by David Wilkerson from many years ago.  I love this quote from him:

"I believe the greatest sign or wonder to the world these days is not a person who has been raised from the dead.  No, what truly makes an impact on the mind and spirit of the ungodly is the Christian who endures all trials, storms, pain and suffering with a confident faith.  Such a believer emerges from his troubles stronger in character, stronger in faith, stronger in Christ."

That's my prayer for every challenge I face this year!!  May God help my faith in Him to be confident in the face of everything that comes my way.

"Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!"  Psalm 34:8

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."  Matthew 11:28-30

Contentment Does Not Mean Happiness

Peace-Dove.jpg

A friend of mine is going through a hard time. She asked if I had any thoughts to share about contentment......so it got me thinking. The Bible exhorts us to be content in whatever situation we're in. (Philippians 4:11) I asked myself what that meant for me right now......am I "content" with cancer? Can we as believers be content about something so awful? I realized I can be content without being happy about the cancer!! Contentment has to do with peace. I have felt completely surrounded with peace from the Lord in these months that I've been battling cancer......right from the first moment the doctor told me I had a large tumor. The Bible talks about the peace "that passes understanding" that can only come from God. It's not a human emotion, feeling, experience.....it's a gift and blessing from Him. I know no one could be happy about having cancer, but I'm at peace. I am content but praying for healing. Contentment is a spiritual weapon right up there with faith.

The pain, injustices, and hardships of life are only for a little while. Perfect health, fairness, and lack of difficulties will be ours to enjoy in heaven forever. God has my times and seasons on this earth in His control. Contentment in my situation is a spiritual weapon against the enemy and any of his plans. I'm not happy I have cancer, but, thanks to God's help, I think I am content in Christ. I'm grateful for that. It's definitely a gift from Him.

Join the Largest Prayer Meeting in the World

Hello, 20 years ago God allowed me and several others the privilege of helping to pioneer what is most likely the largest prayer initiative in the world, called "30 days of prayer for the Muslim world". Since that time it has spread all over the world and now millions of people pray during Ramadan for pre-believing Muslims.

I want to call this prayer and awareness initiative to your attention and ask that you join me in supporting this amazing opportunity to stir up love and faith and reconciliation toward Muslims who have not yet come to faith in Jesus. Join believers all over the globe praying during Ramadan - not because we believe in Islam, but because we believe for those who follow Islam to come to faith in Jesus!

Who knows what God will do when we join with many others to fast and pray during Ramadan for Muslims to come to faith in Jesus!!

Since this and many other prayer initiatives began to reach out in love to Muslims, many have had dreams of Jesus, met followers of Jesus, and have opened their hearts to the peace of God through Jeus Christ. The greatest solution to war and strife in North Africa, India, Indonesa, and the Middle East is prayer and the love of Jesus.

Below is an update from 30 Days…

Dear friends,

20 years ago a few mission leaders were praying together. They felt challenged to focus their attention on reaching the Muslim world. Thus was born the 30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World movement.

Today, that agency has 10 times more teams working in the Muslim world than they did 20 years ago. Many other mission and church agencies have joined in. We have seen major breakthroughs. For example, in South Asia at least half a million Muslims come to faith among the Bengali. In Iran, Christian satellite broadcasting is widely viewed and supports a strong and growing underground church movement with thousands of house fellowships multiplying throughout the country. Several hundred thousand members of an unreached Berber group in North Africa have come to faith in just one of several movements taking place in that region.

The 30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim world prayer event has played a big part in that - educating, motivating and encouraging believers to respectfully and lovingly share their faith. The guide is now distributed in over 38 languages, and millions have participated. We have a team of people across the planet who not only contribute to the contents of the booklet but also are actively involved in ministry reaching the lost.

We feel an urgency to continue calling the Christian world to pray. This is not the time to stop praying, giving and going. The avalanche of prayer, we believe, is seeing much fruit. And as we watch events take place in North Africa and across the Muslim world, we sense we must add our prayers and actions to the work God is doing. We are investing in eternity!

You will read many more miracles and facts in our coming prayer guide. I encourage you to get the prayer materials to your family, friends, church and social network. At our end we are doing our utmost to produce the prayer guide so it will engage as many Christians as possible. We also encourage everyone to contribute financially to the ongoing work. There are many bills to pay for the new booklet and of course for the people in the fields.

So, what of the next 20 years? According to a 2011 Pew study, twenty years from now the Muslim world population will have doubled from what it was 20 years ago. Muslims will represent a quarter of the global population. As followers of Christ, we must rise to meet this growth with a double portion of faith and love. Let's keep up the avalanche of prayer.

God bless you,

Ron and the team.
